THE REELISM YOU TUBE CHANNEL
We are pleased to announce the upload of the first
viral ad for our new short film (still in production) and the accompanying
viral website worm.reelism.com
a day ahead of schedule. You can see the ad via the viral website
or by visiting our youtube
channel here and please if you like the ad pass it on to your
friends. The ad is called "Worm infomercial" and has the
familiarity of a classic infomercial gone bad. With bad cuts, audible
hiss and film scratches this ranks as classic bad advertising but
also gives you hints as to the tone of our new short film and the
kind of characters involved. We hope you like what you see and keep
coming back to our sites for updates as they develop. We promise a
wacky and interesting ride ahead.
THE
W.O.R.M. HAS LANDED AT REELISM.COM
It should have been a normal week here at Reelism Productions.
We say "should have". That was until our offices here were
bombarded by a bunch of loony 60's spy villain rejects. They made
us shoot some recruitment ad for them. As much as we tried to tell
them we do not do corporate videos their leader, a man simply known
as "ALPHA" told me that their sole purpose in life was to
take over the world corporation by corporation. Hell they had money,
means and a "state of the art" crank handle super 16mm camera
and reel to reel sound recorder (somebody must have neglected to tell
these guys we now have HDTV).
Well
the ad we did finish, cut and save for them on digital. The result?
Well after the director blabbed about a "way cool" new thing
called the internet ALPHA was fascinated and made us show him
how to surf the web. After discovering You Tube and Myspace he then
held us hostage in our offices (like we weren't the moment he walked
through the door) until we promised him (on pain of being sicked on
by his toy monkey) that we would host his organization's you tube
and myspace pages to get their recruitment message out to would be
Megalomaniacs the world over.
So it is
with great pain of being attacked by the toy monkey (whom ALPHA insists
is his real monkey) that we ingratiatingly announce the arrival
of worm.reelism.com this
Thursday 18th June. Oh and their ad will be on our youtube
page on Friday 19th June. Watch it guys please. That monkey scares
the s@$t out of us...
FIRST
SCENE IN THE CAN
It was a fun and intense two day shoot. Now on to the
next schedule. Things are moving along at good pace. Keep an eye out
for some viral ads on our you tube page soon.
SHOOTING
HAS BEGUN ON 2ND SHORT FILM PRODUCTION
We are now officially in production and about to commence
our second night of shooting on our second short film. The shoot continues...

UNNAMED 2ND SHORT FILM SCRIPT NEARING COMPLETION AND SET FOR MID YEAR
SHOOT
We are now in the final stages of script development
for our 2nd short film. Having already cast a promising list of new
talent No. 2 will combine various filming techniques both old school
and new to follow the mantra of the subject's Retro feel. We can say
at this stage it will be a unique story with a 60's/ anime/ spy show
twist.
REELISM PRODUCTIONS RETURNS IN 2009 WITH 2ND SHORT FILM
Though we may not have a name for it as yet our 2nd
Short film has commenced Pre-Production. Expect news soon via this
channel.
